Clover House, Ardwick

Studio Henderson designed and delivered the complete internal furniture package for the award-winning Clover House development on Devonshire Street, comprising 24 one-bedroom apartments.

Led by founder Cliona Henderson, Studio Henderson collaborated with the wider project team to create high-quality, practical interiors that support residents’ transition to independent living.

Managed by Jigsaw Homes and allocated through Manchester City Council, the development was delivered in partnership with RP Tyson Construction Ltd and DK Architects. Clover House provides accommodation for vulnerable adults, with a focus on fostering independence through thoughtful design and integrated support services.

The development also includes dedicated office spaces and meeting rooms, providing residents with access to training, employment, and wellbeing support on site.

Cliona and her installation team supported the fit out of our apartments, delivering a comprehensive furniture and furnishings package that helped us create fully equipped homes for residents at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness. At the outset of the project, Cliona engaged directly with our Support team to understand the needs of the residents and the operational requirements of the service. Using indicative floorplans and apartment layouts, Cliona developed a tailored schedule of furniture, furnishings and household items to ensure each home was practical, welcoming and ready for immediate occupation.

The package included everything from essential household items through to furniture, artwork and soft furnishings, enabling residents to move into a fully furnished home from day one. We found the team approachable and responsive throughout the installation process and appreciated their commitment to delivering a positive end result. The completed apartments provide attractive, well-equipped homes that support residents as they move into independent living.
